We had no wind to speak of and the start had been delayed but despite the flat calm there was some good cloud cover and interesting light to work with, then with a few people feeling seasick our skipper decided on an early return to port. Within the hour the sun came out and the race got underway ‘C’est la vie’ A storm followed for the passage to Aalborg.

Wowwwwww! I miss that! I was leaving Belgian to La Rochelle (France) and it was a very sad and bad period in my life!!!! I did not know about this!!!! I feel sad… It’s really too bad I wasn’t aware….I’ m waiting the 350 birthday of Rochefort (France) in june and hope to see the Shtandart and some others??????? Hope to see more tallships, it’s a treasure!!!!!
