ABOUT THE SHIP
Built in Holland in 1918 she started life as “Nora” an ocean going sailing cargo vessel. During the war she was stationed in Gdynia, serving in the German Kriegsmarine as a training ship and after the war in Sweden as a trading vessel, before returning to Holland for a full refit. In 1989 she returned to Sweden where she was again refitted and served as a passenger charter vessel named “Nyajden” sailing the Baltic Sea from her home port of Stockholm. In 2011 she was acquired by Poland, renamed Kapitan Borchardt and has sailed under the Polish flag ever since.
