The Cover shot shows the race start, close to Port Rush, Northern Ireland.

Pictures in the gallery below taken in the port of Liverpool and at the start line off Port Rush, on the north coast of Ireland in 2008. With light winds, good light and cloud formations for Pelican of London’s first tall ship race. A passage of around 750 nautical miles across the North Atlantic and the Norwegian Sea to the port of Måløy in Norway.

There are some interesting fleet shots and the last pictures of Asgard ll, that I managed to take, before her fateful trip south later the same year. Also some interesting class B vessels, including Constantia, Jolie Brise, Westward Ho and Svanhild.
