We had light winds and sunshine aboard Morgenster during a slow start to the race, spending most of the first night in close company with the fleet, Roald Amundsen close to our stern for some distance. But with the help of some great trainees from Denmark, Belgium, Great Britain and Ireland, to name but a few, we rigged our main course and put in a very strong performance, picking up a stiff breeze for our final approach to the danish coast and the finish line. We were joined by Sørlandet for a brief cruise in company before the fleet assembled in Aalborg for the festivities there.
