This content provides an interesting account of the North Sea Crossing on the Spanish schooner ATYLA for the Den Helder to Hartlepool leg of the tall ships race 2023. The pictures in the gallery below show the sea state on our departure. With strong winds we made little progress during several hours so the ship returned to port and set out again the following day. The weather had improved and we arrived off Hartlepool in time for the start of the regatta there.
