The 2025 Kristiansand tall ships regatta opened in full sunshine giving some great views around the port, but very light winds and persistent rain eventually set in for the parade and the race start. That said there are some very nice images, particularly of SØRLANDET, LIBERTAD, SHABAB OMAN II and BAP UNION as they prepare for the race.

The Norwegian “SS Hestmanden” also participated in the parade of tall ships, she is the only known surviving cargo ship that sailed in the convoys of WW1 and WW2. Known as the “lucky ship” she now houses the Norwegian War Sailor Museum
