ABOUT THE SHIP
STS Mir (meaning Peace) is a Russian full rigged training ship, based in St. Petersburg, Russia. Designed by Polish naval architect Zygmunt Choreń, she was built at the Lenin Shipyard in Gdańsk, Poland in 1987. The second largest of six sister ships, that include Dar Młodzieży, Druzhba, Pallada, Khersones, and Nadezhda.
