Nao Victoria

The original Nao Victoria, commanded by Juan Sebastian Elcano, left Seville in 1519 and returned to the same city in 1522 after circumnavigating the globe for the first time in history.

“Onboard the Nao Victoria of today you will find the rhythm of Spanish life, they dine late in the evening, their language is passionate and expressive, in the ports the atmosphere onboard is musical and festive, for them its natural”

Below a few pictures taken onboard the ship at “La Fete des Gens de Mer” in les Sables-d’Olonne 2017. When it was over we set sail for Tazones on the North coast of Spain, after 3 days of heavy weather we were obliged to cut our journey short and put into Bilbao. The last three portraits were taken whilst the ship was in Greenwich earlier in 2017
